David DAHAN was born in Casablanca in 1961 and grew up in Morocco, feeding on all the Judeo-Andalusian mysticism of which he is a native. A 360 ° artist, a great traveler, music and painting allow him at first to tell his vision of the world. He works between Paris, London, Brussels and California where he begins to exhibit his works. In the early 2000s, David Dahan immersed himself in technology and is interested in the means of "artistic expression" that it can offer him, the Digital Art becomes his new laboratory. In the age of widgets and social networks, the codes and the universal language of the "world wide web" interest him, he mixes his last with the figurative art by using the typography, the anamorphosis, the cubism or the architecture via the language of numbers and symbols. Thus, from his colorful dishes and figures are born works whose ideas are immediately conveyed. Strong temper but subtle, true passionate, aesthetic, David Dahan leaves nothing and no one to limit his creativity, as evidenced by his achievements with character that reveal a story behind the numbers. By using them to create characters, universal messages or atmospheres, he succeeds in conjugating, transcending without calculating. David DAHAN restores his power to the number, strong, symbolic, mystical, the one who marks, who tells, or the one who brings happiness. The fetish figure makes sense and refers us to our own archetypes. The colors, the forms and the messages are so many winks in tribute to his peers masters in the oriental calligraphic art. By his desire to create works mixing digital art with the ancestral while refusing the modernity of the duplication or reproduction to the infinite, David Dahan tries to reach an artistic renewal. Noticed and then represented by Galerie Perahia in Paris, specialized in contemporary art in September 2014, he now exhibits permanently.
